Bill Kehoe has more than two decades of experience transforming how government delivers technology services. Since 2021, he has served as Washington’s Director and State CIO, leading WaTech and setting statewide IT strategy and policy. He also advances strategic alignment through efforts like the Enterprise IT Strategic Plan and his podcast, Coffee with Kehoe.

Before joining WaTech, Bill was CIO for Los Angeles County, King County, and the Washington State Department of Licensing. His leadership in these roles drove IT modernization, consolidation, and cybersecurity improvements, resulting in cost savings and better public service.

Nationally, Bill serves on the NASCIO Executive Committee and co-chairs its Artificial Intelligence Committee. A past president of the Metropolitan Information Exchange, he continues to champion collaboration and innovation in public-sector technology.
